Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Genital reconstruction surgery addresses the needs of male patients facing conditions, including Peyronie’s Disease, congenital abnormalities, trauma, and diseases affecting penile functions -- associated or not with penile deformity. These surgical interventions can significantly impact patients' physical and psychological well-being. Despite notable advancements in surgical techniques to improve patient satisfaction, much work still needs to be done.

This special issue explores cutting edge techniques and innovative surgical methodologies, postoperative outcomes, and psychosocial issues influencing patient satisfaction, quality of life, and self-esteem. It highlights the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to tailor surgical care to individual patient needs while demonstrating the challenges faced by patients and healthcare providers alike.

Special emphasis is placed on Surgical Techniques and Innovations, Patient Outcomes and Satisfaction, Quality of Life, Complications and Management, Multidisciplinary Care Models, Ethical Considerations in Genital Reconstruction, and Patient Expectations.

Through in-depth reviews, original research articles, and insightful commentaries, this issue will contribute to improving the best possible results. This special issue hopes to inspire insightful discussions and research to enhance care strategies and promote future advancements in male genital reconstruction by fostering collaboration and innovation in this developing area of healthcare.
